One of my favorite color combos, pale blue and yellow! Kyanite ovals and 2 luscious faceted citrine rondelles swing from my elongated handmade recycled sterling earwires. Simple, yet stunning, and comfortable enough for daily wear! Blue Kyanite and Black Vintage Glass Leaf Handmade Earrings

Luscious and dreamy pale blue kyanite ovals are paired with black vintage Japanese brass wire embedded glass leaves. The kyanite beads have some brown flecks, called “inclusions”, making each bead unique. The leaves have stunning pressed vein details, and are slightly curved. Hung from my modern, rounded recycled sterling earwires. Gorgeous, and so comfortable!

These are an extremely small run, and only a few pairs will be made!

Vintage Brass Hoop Drop Earrings with Antique Leaf Detail

Lovely, open, solid vintage brass drop hoops are given recycled sterling silver posts, very old antique brass leaves for a touch of nature and a heavy black oxidized patina. They are selectively sanded for a dramatic effect, and are then buffed with museum wax. Simple, modern, and very Bohemian chic. Strong sterling butterfly backs are included.

Verdigris Brass & Sterling Lotus Verde Earrings

For these stunning lotus blossom earrings, I layer and solder vintage brass, drill the center then thread and solder them to my handmade recycled sterling ball end posts. Since the heat from the torch brings a fine copper layer to the surface, they are then cleaned & made a golden matte using a safe, non-toxic form of etching. This provides the perfect surface for a verdigris green patina, which is painted onto each petal by hand. Each layer is given a full day to dry before painting the next. Finally, they are lightly sprayed with a matte fixative to help protect the finish–BUT THESE ARE NOT TO GET WET! You’ll be safe if you are caught in the rain without your brolly, but if you’d like to be sure that the verdigris won’t be ruined, you may request varnish in the notes to seller upon checkout. his will create a slight sheen, as if they were just plucked from the pond, and will darken the green color a bit.

Fun, feminine and so very elegant. Strong sterling butterfly backs included.

Flower measures approx. 12mm in diameter. Can be made with hooks upon request.

Golden Fiddle Leaf Earrings

Often mistaken for gold, these gorgeous vintage style brass leaves make spectacular earrings! The detail is stunning… Recycled sterling silver ear wire hooks are soldered to the back (no lead!) and then formed and filed. Tumbled for extra strength and shine, then lightly sanded to add a bit of subtle contrast. They are buffed with museum wax to help preserve the finish, but these will tarnish in time. With a bit of care from time to time with your Sunshine polishing cloth, these gorgeous leaves will acquire a warm patina deep within the crevices, making the details stand out more.

Surprisingly lightweight & comfortable, considering the size & material.

Star Light, Star Bright Earrings

For these wee things I draw teeny, tiny stars onto recycled sterling silver sheet metal without a template, then carefully cut them out using my favorite saw. Recycled sterling ear wire hooks are then soldered to the backs, formed, filed and then tumbled in steel shot for several hours to add strength and an out of this world shine! I lightly sand the faces for a soft satin finish, then buff with museum wax to help keep them bright. Comfortable enough for daily wear!

These can be made with posts & clear rubber backs at no charge if you prefer–just mention this in the notes to seller when you checkout. However, these ear wires are so dainty and small, that they actually sit on the ear and hug the lobe as if they were indeed posts!

Bitty Little Leaves Earrings

Slightly curved to add asymmetric interest: one leaf is concave, the other convex. These perfectly petite leaves of highly detailed yellow brass are then given my own handmade recycled sterling hooks, then tumbled steel shot to add strength and shine, and are finally sanded to make the details stand out. The matte copper )which is brought to the surface during soldering–yes, brass contains copper!) is left within the recesses.

Buffed with museum wax to help preserve the finish, as brass tarnishes quickly. These will acquire a warm brown patina over time, and a more dramatic contrast should you give it a little rub with your Sunshine Polishing Cloth from time to time. (See “Polish/Size” section for the BEST polishing cloth around!)

Perfect little earrings for the Fall/Autumn season! Comfortable enough to wear every day.

Modern Black Squiggles

Forged using thick recycled sterling silver, these funky and modern little squiggles are given standard 20g posts and a dark, heavy black patina. They are slightly flattened with my planishing hammer for strength after being tumbled in steel shot for a few hours.

Oxidized recycled sterling butterfly backs are included.

Black Sterling Orchid Earrings

Each component in these earrings is cut from ethical recycled sterling sheet metal, then formed, domed, and soldered using traditional metalsmithing techniques. They are tumbled in steel shot for several hours to add strength, and then given a heavy, dark black oxidized patina. Finally, they are buffed lightly with micro-crystalline museum wax to add a bit more of a matte finish, and to help preserve the finish longer. *Please note that patina will change over time, an aspect of my work that is not to be considered a flaw.

Due to the handmade nature of the item, each flower will vary somewhat, making each pair unique.
